Privacy
AlarmCert privacy policy.
AlarmCert is designed to keep inspection information under the user’s control. This policy explains what the app handles and when information may leave the device.
Who provides AlarmCert?
AlarmCert is provided by Rainbow Repairs Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 09081344. Privacy enquiries can be sent to support@alarmcert.co.uk.
Information handled by the app
Depending on how you use AlarmCert, inspection records may contain property and client details, alarm-system information, test results, notes, signatures, photographs and approximate location information. You decide what to enter and which photographs to add.
Storage and sharing
AlarmCert does not require an account. Inspection records are stored locally on the device. When you choose to preview, email, save or share a certificate or equipment export, the selected information is passed to the Apple service or third-party app you choose. That recipient’s privacy terms then apply. AlarmCert does not share inspection records automatically.
Device permissions
AlarmCert may request access to the camera or photo library so you can add evidence, and to location services so you can suggest a property address. You can refuse or withdraw these permissions in your device settings. The core inspection form can still be completed manually.
Retention and deletion
Records remain on the device until you remove them or delete the app. Copies that you export are controlled by the destination you selected. Before deleting the app or changing devices, save any records you need to retain.
Website enquiries
If you join the early-access list, we use the contact details you submit to respond about AlarmCert testing and product updates. You may ask us to correct or remove those details by emailing support.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as AlarmCert develops. The current version will remain available on this page. Last updated: 7 September 2026.
